On March 18, 2012, an alumni association was founded for the “Advanced Management Program in Fashion and Luxury”. The fashion management program was co-organized by Tsinghua SEM, HEC Paris, and the Institut Francais de la Mode (IFM). Meanwhile, the Commencement for Class 2011 of this program was also held.

The commencement ceremony was followed by a Tsinghua Management Forum in Fashion, gathering over 200 alumni and guests in discussion of fashion management in China.

Professor LI Fei from Tsinghua SEM and Professor Daniele Clutier from IFM delivered keynote speeches in the forum respectively. Later on, two panel discussions took place, reflecting on the market-positioning and brand-building of Chinese luxury brands, as well as innovative marketing strategy in a new environment. Tsinghua alumni in the fashion and luxury goods industries also contributed to the panel discussions with their insights on the internationalization of Chinese fashion and luxury brands.

Since its inception in 2006, the Advanced Management Program in Fashion and Luxury has enrolled 300 students. Based on different learning modules, the program takes place in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen, along with an experiential learning trip to Paris.
