2022 SISU MBA-IECL Coaching Program Successfully Held

On the afternoon of June 26th, the closing ceremony of 2022 SISU MBA-IECL coaching program was successfully held online. The closing ceremony was jointly organized by the Career Development and Alumni Association Office of SISU SBM and IECL. Sherman, IECL coach supervisor & senior Executive Coach, teachers of the Career Development and Alumni Association Office, senior coaches of IECL and MBA students participating in the project attended the ceremony .

In his closing speech, Mr Xu thanked the coaches who participated in the program. Through three months of coaching, they have helped MBA students improve their self-development awareness, set clear personal goals and plan their career. Students have improved themselves in an all-round way from four dimensions: how to better achieve their goals, how to choose an appropriate career, how to effectively balance work and family, and how to shape leadership. Mr Xu said that the influence of coaching on students’ thinking and doing will be lifelong, which has laid a very healthy and effective foundation for students\' development in the future. This project is valuable and meaningful. SISU SBM will continue to provide a platform for students\' career development and help students grow.

Mr Sherman summarized and shared the project on behalf of the partners. He said that the coach is a branch of the interpersonal support system. Students can tap more potential in the process of honest communication with the coach through questioning. The coach and students become partners of mutual trust.

Ms Zhou, the Principal of IECL China, made a recap of the three-month coaching from the three dimensions: of project cycle nodes, project review and students\' key output. She said that ‘in this coaching program, you have developed self-awareness and acquired skills and courage to embrace the VUCA world. Hope you have all advanced to land on your dream job and be a contributor both professionally and personally!\' And she also thanked each coach for their input.

Five IECL Coach representatives:Rosa Zhang, Dana Yu, Chris Reinert, Shirley Xu

and Charlotte Wang, shared their views respectively. They shared their feelings during the whole tutoring journey, marveled at the students\' savvy, discussed the confusion in the process of career development, shared the most cutting-edge trends in the industry, guided students to explore vocational skills with heuristic methods. Dr. Ellen Wieck and Susanna Wollschlaeger also thanked the SISU students for their trust and serious participation, and conveyed their best wishes from abroad.

Some Coaches recommended books to students, among which Coach Rosa Zhang recommended Man\'s Search for Meaning (the book published by Huaxia publishing house in January 2018, by Frankel) and Coach Jackie Wang recommended Nonviolent Communication (Huaxia Publishing House, January 2009, by Marshall Rosenberg ), looking forward to the students\' continuous self-development.

Finally three student representatives: Huang Yuan from class FT3 of grade 21, Guan Hanpeng from class FT2, Yue Yuan from class PT2, shared what they’ve achieved through coaching and expressed their sincere gratitude.

For three months of coaching, more than 30 students have completed the required items and obtained the completion certificate accordingly. But this is only a starting point, students need to rely on continuous self-efforts to achieve internal driven sustainable development. CDO of SISU SBM will continue to hold more career development activities with partners to promote the career development of students.
