活动回顾 | 2022 上外管院MBA-IECL教练项目顺利启动

3月20日,由学院职业发展与校友会办公室主办的2022年上外管院-IECL教练项目启动仪式,克服疫情影响,如期在线上顺利举行。项目是学院自去年以来,与澳大利亚IECL教练公司合作、为上外MBA学生设立的国际化教练辅导项目。上外学院党委书记徐永先生、IECL中国区院长周立志女士(Caroline Zhou),双方的教师、教练代表近20人,以及本期上外MBA学员出席了启动仪式。
仪式首先在徐永书记热情洋溢的致辞中拉开帷幕。他亲切问候了大家在疫情期间工作和生活状态,并感谢IECL和学院职业发展办前期的认真准备,以及围绕dedication一词,希望活动各方能继续传承去年的优良传统,务实认真地参与,学院将竭力做好过程支撑和保障工作,确保今年的项目于6月顺利完成。
IECL Coach Supervisor Marc A.Sherman代表合作方,对IECL教练项目的理念及内容流程向今年的学员做了全面介绍。Marc表示,此项目旨在帮助MBA学生增强自我意识,设定目标和职业规划,解锁潜能,从而帮助自我成长和发展。
IECL中国区校长周立志(Caroline Zhou)作为一位资深高管教练,也是上外的校友。结合启动仪式前的问卷反馈问题,从教练的专业角度为学弟学妹们,用中文对教练技术、实践,进行了指导示范,进一步介绍了教练的定义和价值。同时也分享了IECL在全球的一些成功合作案例。她建议大家在教练过程中,一是诚实面对,不回避自我和问题;二是辅导后制定落实行动计划。
IECL16位参与合作项目的教练参加了启动仪式,并逐一作了自我介绍。他们来自不同国家或地区,并在各自行业领域取得成就,是一支国际化的精英队伍。学员们由此感受到了教练们的专业和热情,期待后续开展辅导深入交流。
SISU-IECL项目自2021年首次启动以来,上外MBA同学从中受益匪浅。去年的学员20级PT1班於洪斌同学和20级PT2班夏良霄同学作为学生代表,在启动仪式上用英文向大家图文并茂地分享了他们的切身经验和体会。

据悉,起源于澳大利亚的IECL成立于1999年,是亚太地区领先的教练服务、教练课程与领导力发展机构,致力于在澳大利亚和亚太地区训练职业教练和培养未来领导者。本次上外管院-IECL教练项目为期三个月,参与项目的学员将与IECL教练进行三次一对一交流,对同学们在自我认知、职业规划、人生规划以及沟通能力、领导能力等方面予以辅导和支持。相信在各方努力下,项目将会顺利开展,每位参与者都会有收获。
On March 20th, the kick-off ceremony of 2022 SISU MBA-IECL CoachingProgram was held successfully as scheduled. It is the second yearthat SBM of SISU collaborates with IECL to establish an internationalcoaching program for SISU MBA students. Affected by the outburst ofthe COVID-19, the kick-off ceremony was held online. The ceremony wasattended by Prof. Xu Yong (Secretary of the CPC Committee, SBM ofSISU), Caroline Zhou(Principal, IECL China), more than 20 teachersand coaches from both SISU and IECL, and all of MBA studentsparticipating in the project.
The ceremony was initiated by Prof. Xu Yong\'s speech. He kindly senthis respects to everyone, and expressed gratitude to IECL and CDO fortheir elaborate preparation. With the word “dedication” centered,he hoped that all parties involved in this program can carry on thepast proven practices and fulfill conscientiously. The school willalso do best endeavor to support the program to ensure its success.
IECL Coach Supervisor Marc A. Sherman introduced the vision andprocess of IECL coaching program. According to Marc, this programaims to promote individual growth for the MBA students by assistingthem to enhance self-awareness, set goals, plan career, and explorepotentials.
Caroline Zhou, the Principal ofIECL China, is asenior executive coach and also an SISU alumnus. Based on thequestionnaire feedback before the launching ceremony, she introducedcoaching techniques for the students from the professional point ofview of the coach.Atthe same time, she also shared some successful cases of IECLcooperation in the world. She suggested that in the coaching process,one is to be honest, do not avoid self and problems; the other is todevelop and implement an Action Plan after coaching.
The coaches participating in the program introduced themselves online. They come from different countries and regions, who have madecertain achievements in their respective industries. Through theirintroductions, the students could feel the professionalism andenthusiasm of the coaches and were looking forward to communicatewith the coaches in the near future.
Last year the students involved in the SISU-IECL program benefited alot. As representatives of them, Liangxiao Xia (2020PT2) and HongbinYu (2020PT1), shared their valuable ideas and learning experiences inthe ceremony. One of Mr Yu’s tips was as follows: Bringyour question before each coaching, and record and summarizeafterwards. Miss Xia suggested the new participators to closeoff mobile phones and be immersed because each 60-90 minutecommunication session belongs to them and their coaches only.
The SISU MBA-IECL coaching program will last for three months. SISUstudents will have three one-on-one sessions with IECL coaches toexplore their self-awareness, job market situation, workplace skills,career planning and interpersonal relationships. Coaches will provideguidance and assistance during the whole process. Let’s wish asmooth progress for the program and hope each student can makesuccessful accomplishments from this program.
