1.Program Overview

Cornell-Peking MMH/MBA Program (Part-time)

Degree:A Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) from Peking University

A Master of Management in Hospitality (MMH) degree from Cornell University.

Location: Shanghai, China & Cornell campus in Ithaca and NYC

Some classes will take place in other teaching locations owned by the partners.

Duration: 2 Academic Years

First cohort expects to start in Sept.2022, and graduate in July 2024

Teaching Languages: English & Chinese, to follow institutions’ instructional language

Teaching Format: Weekend Sessions in China & residential sessions in the United States.

2.Tuition Fees

PKU:RMB319,000

Cornell: USD 45,000

Students are required to pay tuition fees to PKU and Cornell University separately.

3.Application Criteria

• International applicants or applicants from HK, Macau, Taiwan China

• Hold a bachelor's degree or above

• Have relevant work experience

• Have a competitive GMAT or GRE score or attend Guanghua entrance exam

4.Language Requirements

International applicants must have a valid HSK level 6 score.

7.World-class faculty

The Cornell-Peking MMH/MBAcurriculum, which combines theory and practice, will be taught jointly by faculty at the two schools. The program brings together faculty from Cornell and Peking universities. You will learn the subject matter in both English and Mandarin from some of academia’s most respected professors. Service industry leaders are also invited to speak on current topics, providing valuable real-world insights. Faculty at the Guanghua School teach MBA core courses; Hotel School faculty provide the specialized hospitality management core—in areas such as real estate, service operations, analytics, and human resource management.

8.Unique Learning Experience

The program is divided into classroom sessions and U.S. Residential Sessions. 70% of coursework is completed in China—the majority of classroom sessions take place every other weekend in Shanghai. The remaining 30% of the program consists of U.S. Residential Sessions on Cornell’s campuses in Ithaca, NY, and New York City. While in Ithaca, you will have the opportunity to do experiential learning in hospitality and hear from guest speakers who are leaders in the hospitality and service arena.

9.Abundant Alumni Network

By fulfilling this program with strong global academic connections across political and cultural differences respectively in Shanghai and Ithaca, graduates could advance themselves with abundant alumni resources by the Guanghua alumni and Hotel School alumni and dive into the hospitality and the service industry.
