小雪，是二十四节气中的第20个节气，冬季第2个节气，时间在每年公历11月22或23日，即太阳到达黄经240°时。“雪”是寒冷天气的产物，这个节气期间的气候寒未深且降水少，故用“小雪”来比喻这个节气期间的气候特征。

Lesser Snow, the 20th solar term in the twenty-four solar terms, is the second solar term in winter. It takes place on November 22nd or 23rd of the Gregorian calendar every year when the sun reaches 240° of the yellow longitude. "Snow" is the product of cold weather. During this solar term, the climate is not too cold and the precipitation is low, so "Xiao xue" is used to indicate the climatic characteristics of this solar term.

小雪是反映降水与气温的节气，它是寒潮和强冷空气活动频数较高的节气。进入该节气，中国广大地区西北风开始成为常客，气温下降，逐渐降到0℃以下，但大地尚未过于寒冷，虽开始降雪，但雪量不大。

Lesser Snow, a solar term that reflects precipitation and temperature, has a higher frequency of cold waves and strong cold air activities. At this time, northwest wind has become a frequent visitor in vast areas of China and the temperature has dropped and gradually dropped below 0°C. However, the earth is not too cold yet. Although it has begun to snow, there is not much snow.

中国古人将小雪分为三候：一候虹藏不见；二候天气上升地气下降；三候闭塞而成冬。

The ancient Chinese divided Lesser Snow into three periods: “One is when rainbows no longer appear; The second is when the yang in the sky rises and the yin on the earth falls; The third is when everything loses its vitality and the closed world turns into a freezing winter.”

小雪时节，天寒地冻，但是农事仍不能懈怠。农谚道：“小雪雪满天，来年必丰年。”来年丰产丰收就在此时。

lIn this season, it is cold and freezing, but farming still cannot stop. The farmers said: "When the sky is full of snow, there will be a bumper harvest in the coming year." Whether farmers can attain a good harvest next year or not depends on the work this time.

民间有“冬腊风腌，蓄以御冬”的习俗。小雪时节气温急剧下降，天气变得干燥，是加工腊肉的好时候。在南方某些地方，还有农历十月吃糍粑的习俗。小雪节气的习俗还包括晒鱼干、吃刨汤、酿小雪酒等。

Among the folks, it is a custom for a family to pickle all kinds of vegetables and meat to prepare for the winter. During Lesser Snow, the temperature drops sharply and the weather becomes dry, which is a good time to process bacon. In some southern places, people eat glutinous rice cakes in the tenth lunar month. The customs of this solar term also include drying fish, having pork soup, making Xiaoxue wine and so on.

小雪至，大地开始穿上银装。愿你心怀光芒，无惧风雪，步履不停地前行。
