Since 1881 the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania has been preparing leaders for business and public service, advancing knowledge across disciplines and industries, and promoting economic progress throughout the world. As the world's first collegiate business school, Wharton is at once the birthplace of modern business education and the foremost custodian of its future.

Our faculty is comprised of renowned scholars in every field of business, and our curriculum utilizes the latest teaching methods and learning tools, including simulations emanating from our learning labs. Our broad-ranging expertise reaches more than a half million people every day through our degree programs on two campuses; our services to executives; our award-winning online publication, Knowledge@Wharton, which is available free in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Chinese; and our global book publishing arm, Wharton Digital Press. Our 91,000 alumni hold positions of responsibility in business, government, public service, social and cultural entities, and education in 140 countries.

At Wharton we believe the role of business is to advance society as a whole, creating new wealth and economic opportunity for all people, in developing regions as well as the developed economies. In our research and teaching, we are educating the next generation of leaders with the firm conviction that business can and must be a force for good in the world.
