【MBAChina网讯】扩大开放融入世界是今年博鳌亚洲论坛的重要信号。致力于帮助中国创新型企业走向成功,同时帮助外国企业更好融入中国市场的复旦-麻省理工中国实验室项目（Fudan-MITChinaLab）转眼已经到了第十个年头。自2008年创办之初，Fudan-MITChinaLab始终基于这样一种信念：中国的企业要从简单的生产型企业转向科技创新型企业，尤其需要提高管理能力；国外的企业入驻中国，需要更深入的本土洞察。中美两方的学生结合两国市场情况为中外诸多企业提供他们不熟悉的信息，为企业进一步的发展或者研发提供建议并帮助各个企业解决实际问题。今年3月，又有9位MIT的同学远渡重洋，联手复旦IMBA的同学，共同为Fudan-MITChinaLab的商业咨询项目进行中期汇报。不妨先来听听这些确认过眼神的亲密队友怎么说。

Victoria:TheenterpriseandconsumermarketsinChinaarecomplex.Successfulstartupsneedtonotonlyunderstandthemwell,butalsobeagileenoughtochangewhencompetitionswoopsin.Thelocalenvironmentencouragesthistypeofrapidgrowthmindset.EachyearIvisitChina,thereseemstobesomesortofexponentialchangewhetherit’sinitstransportationinfrastructure,governmentprograms,orconsumerbusinesses.I’mimpressedbyChina’sambitionandadaptability.

Jeff:Chinaiscontinuouslyevolvinginahighspeed.IworkatIBMinTaiwanbeforeSloanSchoolofManagementandmanagedtovisitShanghairegularly,andeverytimeIfeelimpressedaboutthethingshappeninghere,beittheconvenienceofmobilepayment,internetservices,orupgradeddiningexperience.Intermsofdoingbusiness,therearealotofgreatpolicies,fundsandtalentpoolsupportingnewventures,especiallyinfinancial,retail,andfoodindustry.

Ritika:AspartofourChinalabproject,weareworkingwithFulaanTechnology,aserviceproviderfortheeducationindustry.WorkingontheprojecthasbeenanincrediblelearningexperienceingainingexposuretoChina’seducationmarket.Wereceivedvariousinsightsabouttheproduct,currentfunctionalityandfuturepotential,throughtalkingwithlocalteachers,studentsandFulaanemployeesintheproduct,marketing,legalandsalesdepartments.

David:WearehelpingMedtronictoexplorenewpartnershiptodelivervaluebasedhealthcaresolutioninChinatodiabetespatients.Ienjoybeingabletotakeabroadprojectandhavetheflexibilitytodesigntheteam’spathwithgreatautonomy.Ithasbeenawonderfulexperiencedesigningaplan-of-attackandexecutingtheplantodeliverasuccessfulmid-termpresentation.Next,betweennowandthefinalpresentation,Iamthrilledtohavethechancetofocusonanddivedeeperintotheareasthatthehostfindsmostinterestingandmeaningful.

Anum:IwasontheInnoSpace+team,workingonaprojectaimedatattractingoverseasstartupsintotheInnoSpace+ecosystem.Assomeoneinstartupsandtech,itwasfascinatingtogetaglobalperspectiveonhowacceleratorsareemerginginChina,whattheperceptionsofthemare,whattheblockersare,whatthebenefitsare,andsoon.ThisglobalperspectiveisonethatenhancesmycredibilityasInetworkandspeakwithinvestors.

Victoria:YanandZackhavebeenincredibleteammates!Inourproject,theyaddedalotofvalue,providingadeeperperspectivearoundtheChineseincubatorswe’veresearchedandidentifyingkeypointsintheteam’srecommendations.I’vealsopickedupcertainbusinessnormsthatIwouldnothaveknownotherwisewithoutYanandZackpointingthemouttome.

Daniel:ShakeandPsychearetwoextraordinaryindividuals!Asprojectpartners,bothofthemhavebeencommittedandcontributedgreatly!BeforewegottoSanghai,bothhavedoneextensivesecondaryresearchandwerereadyto“hitthefloorrunning”.Theyarelikeagreatbridgebetweenmy“rough”westernstyleandtheChineseculture,appreciatedmeformydifferences,andhavegiventhoughtfulandinsightfulfeedback.

Daniel:Thereismuchtobedone,weneedtobuildaconcreteframeworktododataanalysisandtoconductextensiveprimaryresearchinterviews.Thetimedifferencesaswellasthedifferentworkloadsandschoolexpectationsisabarrier,butourteamisreadytomakeithappen!WearehappytohavehadtheopportunitytoworkcloselytogetherandarelookingforwardtosuccessfullycompletingournextstepsanddelivervaluableinsightstoRaise3D.

Ritika:Wehavemadesignificantprogressinouranalysisandrecommendationssofaracrossthefourkeyareas,addressingtheclients’needs.Inthefinalweeks,wehopetoconductmoreinterviewsandresearchtosolidifyourfindings,establishsuitableconnectionswithappdevelopersandotherrelevantpartiestoassistFulaaninexecutingtheplan.WearelookingforwardtoconcludingourChinaLabexperiencebyaddingvaluetoourclientandenhanceourlearningthroughcomprehensiveresearch,analysisanddeliveryinthefinalpresentationandreport.
